Unlike other HVAC and insulation companies I contacted, they responded promptly to my initial inquiry, actually arrived and were here in the window they gave me, didn't try to upsell me on a home energy audit after I already knew what I wanted, responded to follow up phone calls, didn't tell me it was impossible to do the job I needed, and actually completed the job. I should have gone to them in the first place rather than spend months begging other companies to take my money.

Kevin and his team efficiently insulated our 1970s attic. He walked us through the proposal noting where the suggested strategy would help immediately. He pointed out where we were losing AC from faulty wrapping, built a platform for us to use as storage, and wrapped the access door. Overall, they made sure to be clean, thorough, and efficient. This space is directly over my home office and I could feel the difference immediately. Very happy with the result and highly recommend. Before and after pictures added.

This business made the process easy, I had 1970s insulation and giant air gaps in my top level ceiling into the attic and they took their time to air seal and then fill my attic. 100% worth it!!! I had a high efficiency ac unit installed a couple years ago but after the insulation was installed I am seeing 30% less energy usage from my ac. Also the house is way more comfortable! I could not recommend this company enough!

Pros: the crew did a good job insulating the attic Cons: I can’t recommend this company for several reasons. We were told the crew would be here from 11-6 and they were here from 11:45-9:30 which was way later than our expectations. There was a staple and some insulation left on the floor in our hallway after cleanup (not a big deal to us but might be to those with kids). They broke our air handler in the process and when we called, they said Kevin would come look at it between 10-11 the next morning but that his wife who fields incoming calls could not reach him that night. It was 85 degrees upstairs at that point so that was unacceptable. We called out our A/C maintenance folks who fixed what they had damaged for $150. The following morning, we called several times to let them know it had been fixed but calls went unanswered until 10:30, which is when they said Kevin would come anyway to collect payment. He came and accosted us after we said we’d pay in full but would appreciate him covering the service fee for fixing what his crew broke. We have a security system which captured this interaction. We did not expect nor appreciate being yelled at for trying to work toward a positive outcome. We don’t believe his crew did anything negligent but they broke something accidentally and we were hoping the owner would step up. We are remarkably disappointed in how he handled the situation. We paid more than $2000 for the job and he wasn’t willing to cover $150 to repair what his crew had broken.

This company is wonderful! The owner came out and gave us our estimate...which was funny because he helped with the construction of our townhomes when they first were built. He was very efficient and didnt try to sell me on the bells and whistles and the price quoted was very reasonable. The work was done within a week and the workers who came to install the insulation were quick and efficient and left my house looking just as nice if not better than when they arrived. When you get good insulation out in you dont really need to use them more than one every decade or so. With that being said if you need this work done and you're getting estimates then you MUST get one from Discount Energy Service. You won't be disappointed :-)
