Joseph1 StarBeware. These people are scammers. I called for a simple problem. They advised me it would be cheaper if I purchased a maintenance plan. This should have been my first red flag. They came to my house, charged me $400, their tech looked for anything he could that he could replace and run up the bill and still didn't fix the problem.. When I called to get them back out here, the same tech spent hours doing destructive testing. Cut holes in my duct that they didn't (and refused) to fix. He took apart my evaporator and put it back together incorrectly. He took out freon and then overcharged my system causing the compressor to fail after he left.
I had to get him out a third time just to get the compressor working and it now sounds like it is going to die every time it runs. Then tried to stick me with a bill for all their "troubleshooting." They still never fixed the original problem. You pay for an expert to resolve a problem. Not for someone to destroy your system and hold their hand out when its worse than when they started. Multiple phone calls to try and get them to fix the damage and the original problem. They refused. Multiple phone calls to get my money back. They even lied to me and said they would refund half of my money and send a check, which is still ridiculous. Never received it either. The owner is spineless and never returned any of my calls.Friday 7th February 2020
Kevin Callen5 StarGreat company. Very responsive. We had a new Carrier furnace and AC installed. That project went very well. On-time, on-budget, very caring installer. We then had a problem where condensation was leaking from the vent into the attic. They came over right away. It was nothing to do with their install, but more to deal with a lack of insulation. They explained how to fix and what my options were. Have them take the duct out and properly install insulation around it and seal off the gaps going into the attic. They explained how I could try to insulate it myself to save money and if that did not work, have them do it. I did it and it worked. It was very considerate of them to give me that explanation. They are definitely a company that treats people fairly and does great work.Tuesday 31st October 2017
James Poland5 StarHad Air-Tech Systems replace my mother's heat pump recently. Am very impressed by the quality of workmanship and the Carrier Heat Pump. It's already saving money and love the variable speed indoor blower. I definitely recommend this company, they've been in business for a long time and there's a good reason for that.Tuesday 3rd January 2017
Laura reviews1 StarWe had a new AC unit installed by this company this summer and it was a botched job from the beginning--even acknowledged by owners. They went from incompetent to dishonest very quickly. With so many other companies to choose from, after a huge hassle, big bill, and soaking wet carpet, we recommend you go elsewhere. We definitely will be!Friday 20th September 2019
AWIT T1 StarBoy, did I make a HUGE mistake hiring AirTech Systems, something I will never do again. I needed some waterproofing done in my basement and needed to have one side of the furnace dismantled so the waterproofing guys to get to the back corner of my basement. I called AirTech Systems (since the paperwork showed they installed the furnace/AC) and asked how much dismantling and then reinstalling the furnace parts would cost. The service manager said it would be “around $500”. Okay, fair enough. Then the waterproofing guys said the hot water heater also would need to be moved aside. I called AirTech Systems and asked if they could also move and then replace the water heater. They said yes, and I was grateful. I figured based on the initial quote the total would be less than $1000. After everything was reconnected, SURPRISE!! They sent me a bill for over $2000. When I called to ask about the gross discrepancy between the original $500 quote and the final bill, I got the worst kind of B.S. excuses (“well, you know, there are a lot of little parts to reconnect” and “we checked with our techs and they said they needed all this time”). Boy was I a sucker. I strongly recommend that folks needing HVAC work find an honest company to work with. I wouldn’t recommend AirTech Systems to change a light bulb.Sunday 26th June 2016
